I want to create a forum but I want to use buddy press is it better than bbpress or which theme will be perfect for it and my last question is should I use subdomain for my forum

Paul Titmuss According to WordFence, bbPress saf been abandoned by the authors and according to the WordPress wp forum plugin repository, it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. Therefore, I am not sure that this should be a recommendation any more, unless anyone knows differently??
